Team Lead (m/f/d) App Development

Permanent employee, Full-time · Berlin
80,000 - 90,000 € per year
Your tasks
Apps are essential to how users interact with our audio products—from intuitive interfaces to smart features. As Team Lead, you’ll guide the development of iOS/Android apps that complement our hardware portfolio.
You’ll lead the App Development team as a people manager, technical mentor, and product owner. From defining requirements to final delivery, you’ll collaborate with Innovation Managers, UX/UI Designers, and hardware/software engineers. You’ll balance business needs with technical constraints and steer the team through challenges with clarity and empathy.
While we prefer on-site work in Berlin, note that about half of the team works remotely—so many daily interactions will resemble a remote setup.

  • Lead a diverse team of app developers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable mobile applications (typically using Swift and Kotlin).
  • Cultivate a strong team spirit, address interpersonal dynamics with empathy, and motivate the team to reach ambitious goals.
Your profile
  • Deep understanding of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle: coding standards, code reviews, version control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Able to foster a positive team culture.
  • Experience with cross-platform development and Bluetooth/BLE protocols is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a bonus but not required.
Our offer
  • A long-term employment contract with 30 days’ vacation per year and an additional 1 day off for birthdays and up to 2 days off for social commitment
  • Hybrid working on site and from home office with flexible working hours for a good work-life balance
  • Attractive benefits such as a subsidy for public transport tickets, a job bike, a variety of sports offers, mental health offers and of course a discount on our Teufel products
  • A modern workspace in an excellent location
  • A friendly team with a shared passion for first-class sound
  • The dynamism of a start-up combined with the many years of experience of a successful medium-sized company
  • In-house development engineered in Berlin
This position is a full-time position with 40 hours per week and is remunerated with an annual gross salary between €80.000 and 90.000, depending on professional experience and qualifications.
