Head of Product Innovation & Strategy (m/f/d)

Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your tasks

As Head of Product Innovation & Strategy, you set the strategic and conceptual foundation for the future of our audio portfolio. You shape product visions, guide early discovery and validation phases, and ensure that new products and digital experiences are deeply user‑relevant, technologically sound, and commercially viable.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on conceptual work. You lead a small, high-impact team across Innovation, User Research and Market Intelligence, and act as the strategic backbone for product-related decisions across Engineering, Design, Marketing and Management.

You lead through clarity, narrative and influence — not formal authority. While you do not own final go/no-go decisions, your work aligns decision-makers and creates focus, conviction and shared direction.

Your Responsibilities

Product Vision & Portfolio Strategy
  • Shape long-term product and portfolio strategy across hardware products and digital experiences
  • Develop compelling, user-centered product visions and narratives
  • Identify market opportunities, user needs and emerging trends in consumer electronics and audio
  • Translate technological developments — including AI — into meaningful product opportunities
Innovation & Discovery
  • Lead cross-functional discovery and validation phases with engineering, design and UX
  • Ensure concepts are grounded in user insights, market relevance and clear value creation
  • Translate research and insights into actionable product directions and feature frameworks
Business & Market Impact
  • Define strategic product positioning and value propositions
  • Contribute to business cases including revenue potential, cost structure and margins
  • Build deep understanding of target markets and user segments
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and develop a senior, interdisciplinary innovation and strategy team
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, openness and shared ownership
  • Facilitate strategic workshops, alignment processes and portfolio reviews
  • Act as a trusted sparring partner for senior stakeholders across the organization

  • Strong track record in developing successful product concepts in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Deep understanding of hardware-software product development
  • Solid experience with user research, market analysis and business case development
Skills & Mindset
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on conceptual ability
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills
  • Confidence navigating ambiguity, decentralized decision-making and multiple stakeholders
  • Inspiring, collaborative leadership style with high personal credibility
  • Curious, future-oriented mindset with a strong interest in emerging technologies such as AI

Our offer
